1. What a fountain nozzle actually does
A nozzle converts pressurized water into a defined spray pattern. Two variables matter most: the jet shape (what the eye sees) and the working pressure/flow window (what the pump must deliver). 3. How to choose the right nozzle
- Pick the effect first: foam column for calm elegance, aerated for lively white spray, ice-tower for height and drama.
- Match the pump curve: every nozzle has a design pressure and flow window. Check the pump guide before fixing the model.

- Wind exposure: tall ice-tower and aerated jets break up in wind — favour foam or lower patterns in exposed sites.
- Lighting integration: pair nozzles with ring lights sized to the nozzle aperture for night displays.
4. Pressure, flow and tuning
Nozzles only hit their catalogued pattern inside a narrow pressure band. Under-pressure gives a weak dribble; over-pressure wastes energy and atomizes the jet.
