1. Waterfall feature types
- Spillway / sheet deck: a wide lip producing a smooth, glass-like sheet of water — the calmest, most architectural look.
- Water curtain: a vertical falling sheet, often with LED, used as a shimmering divider or backdrop.
- Arc-hook curtain: water arcs from a hook profile for a sculptural, three-dimensional fall (spa walls).

- Width & flow: wider lips need higher flow for a continuous sheet — confirm with the pump spec.
4. Flow, pump and installation
A clean sheet needs adequate, evenly distributed flow across the lip — too little and it breaks into rivulets. Match the waterfall to a fountain pump sized for the lip width and fall height, and level the weir carefully during install.
